Meet Our Engineers
Serge Henderson – Being the son of a DJ, house engineer Serge Henderson has been open to many different genres of music his entire life. His parents reared him on everything from Reggae, 80’s Rock to Disco. As Serge matured, he fell in love with other genres as well. Those genres, including Hip-Hop and Jazz, helped mold his palette and prepare him for the work he does today. Because of his musical experience, Serge has broad appreciation of music and a unique approach to each artist he collaborates with.
In 2012, Serge began honing his skills as an engineer. He feels right at home as an audio engineer, and offers services in Recording, Mixing, Mastering, and Production. During his three years at Funkadelic Studios, he has worked with a variety of artists, from Hip-Hop battle rapper DNA to the Harlem Gospel Choir. He’s well equipped to take care of your audio needs!
His recording credits include Delfonics, Sharla Keys, DNA, Pickings (film, winner of the IndieFest Film Awards – Best Feature Film, Sunnyside Up Film Festival – Best Feature Film & MidWest WeirdFest – Best Feature Film) and his mixing/mastering credits include the Harlem Gospel Choir.
Shivendra Rai – Shiv is a Pro Tools certified Audio Engineer and a Music Producer. At the age of 15 he started experimenting with making hip hop beats on the computer, but he didn't know the first thing about production so he decided to attend an Audio Engineering Course at Musicians Institute.
After graduating Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, Shiv continued his music education by interning at Funkadelic Studios in Times Square, New York. With his sight keenly set upon a career in the recording industry, he furthered his experience by working as an assistant engineer gaining knowledge and experience. His fast-paced and unique style of workflow, along with a cheerful attitude, incorporates a thorough and satisfying, recording experience.
