November 14th we'll bring to you RnB sass with singer/songwriter Genique!

"The Poet WILL Be Televised!" is the BEST poetry jam session in New York and Is held on the second Wednesday of each month, at 8PM at Harlem's Silvana! 

Hosted by hip-hop artist Baxter Words, we bring together poets, spoken word, hip hop artists, and neo-soul singers with a live band to improvise their written word in a new, fresh way. 

If you would like to perform during the open mic, please remember, TRACKS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT THIS EVENT! The live band will be happy to assist you in any musical stylings you may desire.

Suggested Donation: $5

Genique is a 24 year old singer and songwriter from Queens, New York. Though her expertise centers around R&B music, Genique is also known for rap and dancehall. Her voice is one with soul intense enough to raise the hairs on your arms. She brings passion and love itself, and prides herself on creating music especially for the heartbroken to cry to. Genique's latest R&B tracks "King" and "The Day Our Love Died' as well as her dancehall track "Rude” are available on all streaming services.
